Born in 1985, in Forest Park, Raised in the suburbs, and now Living in the city of Atlanta. I enjoy mobile photography, disc golf, riding my bikes, cooking, and web development. I spent the better part of two decades learning the culinary arts, and the last six or so putting them to work in restaurant kitchens all over the city. The restuarant industry lifestyle can be fun and fulfilling, but I wanted more. I wanted the work/life balance that people dream of. So, I stepped away from the hot kitchens and long nights, in order to devote more time to studying web developement. It had always been something I was interested in, but never had time to really pursue. Now, I spend my time working from home, and learning more about the technologies that power the modern internet.

Computer Science • Current
I am currently taking CS classes, online, through Stanford University. My goal, in taking these classes, is to become better at algorithims and logic.
Art & Design • February 2003
While in high school, I studied fine arts and design. In addition to that, I also focused on business finance. I left school so that I could work full time, and support myself. This was not the end of my education; I have always had a passion for learning.
Web dev • Current
I am currently a freelance web developer. I am proficient in many technologies and frameworks, but my main areas of focus and interest are Ruby on Rails and React built on Node.js. I sometimes pick up work through UpWork, but the majority of my work comes from referrals and networking.
Garde Manger chef • current
I took a break from the culinary arts in order to pursue education and experience in web developement and internet technologies. Before this, I specialized in both French and Japanese culinary techniques, and am one of the last few, true garde manger chefs in Atlanta. I chose this specialty because it encompasses all aspects of cooking; from smoking meats for BBQ, to delicate and ornate pastry work. I am more than proficient in all aspects of cooking, and my knife skills are honed and sharp. For a brief rundown of my culinary adventures, please request a resume. There is too much there to list on a simple, scrolling web site.
I took this photo of the Atlanta skyline, from an office in the BB&T building at Atlantic Station. I was doing some delivery work then, and this view was one of the motivations I had for changing careers. As you can see, it includes the original Georgia Dome. It was taken in 2012.
mobile photographyThis is a photo of one of the first pizzas I made, where every single component was made by me, from scratch. I made the dough and sauce in house. I didn't make the cheese, but I did shred it. I cut the vegetables. I fabricated the meats. I did all the tossing and baking as well. You may notice that is is a little dark in some spots. I like the extra crunch and smokiness of slightly burning parts of the crust.
cooking, photographyThis is a photo I took outside the Alexan apartments in East Atlanta Village. Typically, Lamb's Ear is what we call the herb, sage. I don't think this is sage, but it does look and feel very similar.
photographyI took this photo down in Florida, while visiting my grandparents at their retirement community. I sometimes use it as a wallpaper on my laptop.
PhotographyThis is a photo of a dogwood flower. Dogwoods are popular around metro-Atlanta, and I had a huge one in my front yard growing up. I once fell out of it, and that was how I received my first concussion.
photographyThese porchetta are not 100% authentic to the classic, but delcious nonetheless. I fabricate them from whole pork loins, pork bellies, and stuffed with almost a gremolata of herbs, spices, and a couple other aromatics. After roasting and frying, I shaved them down to snowflake thickness, and they were used as a pizza topping.
Photography, CookingI took this portrait of a rose while visiting my dad and step-mom. They are the ones who grew it, I'm just showing it off. I used to grow roses when I was a teen. My rose bushes saved me a lot of money that otherwise would have gone to buying girls flowers.
photographyThis is a huge boulder I climbeb while day-hiking outside Cascade Springs, near my house. It is roughly 12 feet tall. There are actually several of them in the area, and are great for nice picnic.
